 Join United Airlines And New York Giants alumni players Jessie Armstead and Rodney Hampton In Support of Community Foodbank of New Jersey
In honor United Eco-Skies program, and support for Earth Day/Earth Month and World Environment Day, United Airlines will be hosting an event at Newark Airport to support Clean the World® to recycle unused portions of amenity kits and repurposes these items into 4,000 new hygiene kits. The kits will be donated to the Community Foodbank of New Jersey, which supports the local communities throughout the state. United is proud to be the first airline to partner with Clean the World®, an organization that works to prevent millions of hygiene-related deaths each year. Clean the World® and United Airlines collected more than 60,000 pounds of unused items from our amenity kits in 2017. In 2018, we hope to collect more than 75,000 pounds of unused items from our amenity kits and build more than 40,000 new hygiene kits. These items are sent to Clean the World®, with the organization redistributing them to those in need, reducing the morbidity rate of hygiene-related illnesses and encouraging vigorous child development. Employees, and customers will follow an assembly line to build 4,000 new hygiene kits Special guest appearance and participation from New York Giants alumni players Jessie Armstead, and Rodney Hampton between 10:30AM – 12:30PM. This event will be held at Gates 93-95 inside Newark Liberty International Airport. |
